Focus: How do you succeed in Marketing?

Well I wanted to cover a topic that I am noticing that many people really are struggling with once I start really getting into their daily activities, and that is focus.

If you are like me, you are getting bombarded with emails every single day to sign up to the pre-launch of THIS new system and there is a company coming out that will have a product that will literally change lives and if you act now you can be on the ground floor and everyone that comes in after you will be placed under you etc.

Does any of that sound familiar? I literally get 100-150 emails per day and I would say that 60% of them are things like that. This is what leads us to stop focusing on our goals and focus on what we THINK will get us there faster.

You see, the minute that we see something like this, it does not matter what we are doing, we see this as OUR CHANCE to be at the top of something new! This could be a way for us to do very little work and have our income built for us!! Right?

WRONG! That is how it can work for people that have been in the Industry for a long time because these companies seek them out and give them TOP positions and all kinds of special incentives and then they take it to market and then once they have started to saturate the market WE hear about it…

This is much like the banks…and how they charge the people with good credit lower interest and take the most from the people who have the least…

What makes me compare the 2? Well YOU are the ones who need the most help. YOU are the ones who are out here desperately looking for ways to promote yourself and your business and no one is telling you the truth.

See we just want to be successful and make enough money to at least stay home with our family, or to afford car insurance or just some extra luxuries that you don’t have and may want or even NEED. Whatever it is I ASSURE you that you really can do it, but you need to stop looking outside of yourself for the answers.

I guess this is where I get a little philisophical. See I bet you spend a large % of your time looking for what is going to take you to the next level thinking it is this hard task and process that you have to learn. You keep wandering around aimlessly just looking for someone or something that will just kick it in to high and the money will just start rolling in and your business will just explode. Well you know when my business did that? When I quit looking to everyone else and just decided that I was going to do it and FOCUS all of my energy on ONE thing, and I was going to be GREAT at that one thing…and that is exactly what I did.

In a short amount of time, I became among the biggest Internet Marketers online. Just by focusing on the task at hand instead of looking for the hand to do the task for me.

So like I have said quite a few times now…look at what you are doing. Look at how many different things you have going in your life. Look at your business and your bottom line. Do you feel like you are overwhelmed? Do you think you have too much on your plate?

Get rid of ALL of it!

Here is something that you can do over the weekend, and post your comments here to let me know what you did…

Go through everything that you are doing. Look at everything that you are promoting. Look at everything that you have on your plate and choose the 2 things that stand out the most to you.

Cancel your unwanted auto payments to services that you are using that don’t work…cancel that extra phone number that you are paying for that you don’t ever use…stop arranging your office and file folder constantly preparing to get started…and commit to an ad budget.

See you have to know that you HAVE to set aside an ad budget in order to build a business. It does not have to be a BIG one, but like I said...figure out some things that you can cut out of your monthly fees. Drink soda? Cut down! If you can come up with even $50 a month, that at least gives you something to work with...so lets all focus on that this week!

Once you have done that…THEN it’s time to take the next step and that is to GET TO WORK! Stop waiting for everyone else to get to work FOR you!

I know that this post may be a bit blunt, but that is just how I am. I am cursed with honesty. It has gotten me in trouble sometimes, but I would rather look back on my life one day and know that no matter what, I told people the truth because I believe in them!! I believe that people CAN handle the truth better than lies…
